On Friday, The Hartshorne Miners never let their opponents score. They claimed a resounding 40-0 victory over Allen on the road. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Hartshorne had established a 32 point advantage.
Leading Hartshorne to victory were Jackson Moody and Acetin Rowell. Moody rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, while Rowell rushed for 73 yards and three touchdowns.
Hartshorne is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Allen, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Hartshorne will be playing at home against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Allen, they will head out on the road to face off against Mounds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mounds is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
