Oakwood's loss came despite strong showings from Jaydah Arrowsmith and Gracie Hanner. Arrowsmith scored 21 points along with five rebounds, while Hanner scored eight points along with ten rebounds and two steals. That was a full 52.5% of Oakwood's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ella Myers, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elizabeth McMahon, who scored 17 points.
Oakwood has been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
