If Piute was riding high  fresh off their  82-56 takedown of Pinnacle last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Piute Thunderbirds took  a  60-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panguitch Bobcats on Thursday. While the Thunderbirds didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bobcats  16-8 in the first  quarter.
 Panguitch had a senior duo take command as  Bridger Chappell  dropped  a double-double on 14 points and ten  rebounds and  Daxton Miller  dropped  a double-double on 17  points and ten  boards. Those ten  boards set a new season-high mark for  Chappell. The team also got some help courtesy of  Remme Chappell, who  posted 11  points.
Piute's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Panguitch, their win was  their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 13-3.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piute will welcome Milford  at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Panguitch, they will square off against Escalante at 7:00  p.m.  on January 16th.
