After a string of four wins, the Marshall County Tigers's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell to Franklin 76-72. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Jabrae Howard and Marcus Oneal certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Howard scored 21 points, while Oneal scored 16 points along with 5 steals. The matchup was Howard's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamahl Gentry, who scored 13 points along with 4 steals.
Marshall County's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Franklin, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marshall County will challenge Spring Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Spring Hill comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Franklin will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Cane Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. Cane Ridge is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 60 points per game.
