The Telluride Miners had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.6 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 48-29 win over Dolores. That looming 48-29 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Telluride yet this season.
Telluride was led to victory by Grayson Berry and Townes Merritt. Berry scored 14 points, while Merritt scored 21 points.
Telluride pushed their record up to 6-3 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Dolores, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
Telluride will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Crested Butte at 12:00 p.m. Hopefully Crested Butte focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 back in December of 2023. As for Dolores, they will head out on the road to square off against Ridgway at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Ridgway is ranked 268th, while Dolores is ranked 274th).
