Slinger faced Arrowhead in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Owls fell just short of the Warhawks by a score of 2-1. The Owls' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Nicole Lindner paced Slinger's offense, picking up 12 kills. Lindner got some help from Ella Kohnen and her 26 assists. Lindner and Kohnen didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Slinger's loss dropped their record down to 20-12. As for Arrowhead, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 22-13 record this season.

Slinger wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Divine Savior Holy Angels on the 11th. As for Arrowhead, they will be playing at home against Muskego at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
