The Hardee Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They lost to Lemon Bay at home by a decisive 59-42 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Hardee of the 49-29 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Hardee still got an impressive performance from Phoenix Romeo, who scored 22 points.
It was another big night for Cooper Benedict, who scored 18 points along with two steals for Lemon Bay. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Brown, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Hardee has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Lemon Bay, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-12.
