Oak Grove won the last time they faced Pleasant Grove and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Spartans a 14-0 shutout. Considering the Tigers have won 16 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Oak Grove got a great performance from Kinley Sebert as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Sebert has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Gracie 'Sassy' Renz was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Brand, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Oak Grove was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pleasant Grove only posted a batting average of .211.

The victory made it two in a row for Oak Grove and bumps their season record up to 24-18. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for Pleasant Grove, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Pleasant Grove didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 34-27 victory against Indian Springs on the 29th. Hopefully Oak Grove paid attention to the Spartans' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
