III Section II recap November 5, 2013
Sabino added to the longest winning streak in III Section II this week by beating Pueblo, 62-6. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Sabercats.
Sabino took down the Warriors 62-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Emilio Araiza threw for 160 yards and 4 touchdowns during the win.
Jeremiah Wilcoxen threw for 347 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 17-35 with 1 interception.
Justin Pledger was a beast in the backfield as Cholla beat Catalina.
Marquise Moore was the best receiver in the league this week as the Trojans fell to the Chargers. Moore tallied 9 receptions for 193 yards. Skyler Cleary helped Catalina's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 115 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Wilcoxen of Catalina is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,854. He has also thrown 21 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Matt Bushman. The Sabino star has 50 catches for 1,332 yards.
In 165 carries Jorge Romero has put up 988 yards this year.
