The Chambers Academy Rebels suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Abbeville Christian Academy on the road and fell 70-43. While losing is never fun, Chambers Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while Abbeville Christian Academy is ranked 143rd).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Abbeville Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jp Sowell, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Jayden Buckhannon was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Chambers Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Abbeville Christian Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-7.
Chambers Academy will be playing at home against Abbeville Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Abbeville Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 contests -- so hopefully Chambers Academy likes a good challenge. As for Abbeville Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Chambers Academy at 7:00 p.m.
