Douglass won against Surrattsville last Thursday with 73 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Douglass Eagles took down the North Point Eagles 73-58. The victory was nothing new for Douglass as they're now sitting on five straight.

Douglass' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ami Rios, who posted 11 points along with six boards and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jelani Lee, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points and three steals.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jermaine Griffin, who had eight points. The dominant performance gave Griffin a new career-high in points. Landhn Mathis was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Douglass' record now sits at 5-1. As for North Point, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Douglass wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 64-57 win against Patterson Mill on the 27th. As for North Point, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-55 loss against Varsity Opponent on the 27th.
