The Nuniwarmiut Herders lost against the Nelson Island Islanders two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Nuniwarmiut had to suffer through a rough 96-53 loss at the hands of Nelson Island. Nuniwarmiut has struggled against Nelson Island recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Nelson Island to victory were Jaden Carl and Brennan Lincoln. Carl scored 31 points, while Lincoln scored 44 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lincoln has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Abram Tretikoff, who scored seven points.
Nuniwarmiut has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Nelson Island, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Chaputnguak the next time they take the court. Nelson Island will host Chaputnguak at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Nuniwarmiut will host them at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
