The Byne Christian Saints came tearing into Thursday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Crisp Academy 52-34. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Byne Christian also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Despite the defeat, Crisp Academy saw an underclassman step up: Reese Reed scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Brody Ashton, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Byne Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Crisp Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.
Byne Christian will stay at home for another game and welcome the Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on February 5th. As for Crisp Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
