Volleyball Recap: Walker Wins Going Away Against Cambridge

Walker barely beat Cambridge the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolverines put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wolverines yet this season.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Walker took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-11, 25-12.

Walker's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sofia Moore led the charge by getting 11 digs and four assists. That's the most digs Moore has posted since back in August of 2024.

Walker was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They are a perfect 3-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Walker pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cambridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Walker will be taking part in a tournament against Druid Hills at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cambridge, they will welcome Lakeside at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
