Mater Lakes Academy found a leader in David Ortega as the squad took down Westminster Academy on Monday. Ortega struck out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits. The performance marked the most strikeouts he has had since back in March.

Ortega and Mater Lakes Academy will face off against Archbishop Carroll at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears are a perfect 4-0 against the Bulldogs going back to April of 2015, a lead they'll look to extend.
