The Southeast Lauderdale Tigers posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. Everything went their way against Clarkdale as Southeast Lauderdale made off with a 72-47 win. Given Southeast Lauderdale's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Clarkdale is ranked 218th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Clarkdale lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Connor Mcdill, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lane Creel, who scored 11 points.
Southeast Lauderdale has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for Clarkdale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast Lauderdale will take on McLaurin at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clarkdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Scott Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Scott Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
