Mildred has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Malakoff Tigers at 6:15 p.m. Mildred will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 928th, while Malakoff is ranked 56th).
Last Tuesday, Mildred came up short against Rice and fell 55-44.
Meanwhile, Malakoff entered their tilt with Rice with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Malakoff sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-48 win over Rice on Friday.
Mildred has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Malakoff, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2.
Mildred strolled past Malakoff in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 56-38. Will Mildred repeat their success, or does Malakoff have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
