Key West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 60-34 to the Marathon Dolphins. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Conchs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-36 back in December of 2024.
Marathon got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elena Eubank out in front who went 12 for 20 on her way to 26 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. Eubank's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Marti'Yana Kilbourn was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine steals.
Key West's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Marathon, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Key West will take on Barron Collier at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marathon, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 47-38 win against NSU University on the 30th.
