Wells has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Kennard Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wells knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Kennard likes a good challenge.
On Tuesday, Wells earned a 57-48 win over Laneville.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 80-39, which was the final score in Kennard's tilt against Martinsville on Tuesday. Kennard has struggled against Martinsville recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Wells pushed their record up to 17-12 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Kennard, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-23 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Wells against Kennard when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 104-46 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wells since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
