The Primero Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Hanover Hornets, and things went their way on Saturday too. Primero blew past Hanover 50-29.
It was another big night for Mathew Pachorek, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds. It was the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brett Kendal, who scored 23 points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Hanover still got an impressive performance from Junior Diaz, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Primero's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Hanover, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
Primero will head out on the road to square off against Kim/Branson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Colorado (Kim/Branson is ranked 232nd, while Primero is ranked 229th). As for Hanover, they will head out on the road to face off against Colorado School for the Deaf Blind at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Colorado School for the Deaf Blind comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
