Crow's Brayden Anderson recorded the longest rushing play in 1A Special District 5 (8 Man) this season in his game against McKenzie last week. Anderson scampered for 70 yards on the play and finished with 101 on the day as his team defeated the Eagles.
Yoncalla suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after losing to Triangle Lake. The Eagles had been ranked 25th, but fell to 29.
McKenzie's dynamic duo of Victor Vidal and Bailey Adams proved tough for Crow to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Vidal threw for 249 yards and four touchdowns and Adams had 88 yards receiving. Josh Ness helped McKenzie's passing attack out by catching three balls for 76 yards.
Logan Drullinger was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 220 yards on 26 carries as Brian Brands' team fell to Brian Brands' team.
The Eagles' Vidal and Blake Anderson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Vidal has thrown for 1451 yards this season, while Anderson, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 27 catches for 576 yards. The Cougars' Drullinger leads the league in rushing yards with 655.
The marquee game in 1A Special District 5 (8 Man) this week will be the clash between the Lakers and Lowell. Triangle Lake enters the contest ranked 17th in the state, while the Devils ranks fourth.
Lowell extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Siletz Valley, 56-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for Tim Pinson's team.
