The biggest upset of the week belonged to Tuscarawas Valley, who took down 476th ranked Fairless, 27-17.
Parker Carmichael and Nate Genet provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Tuslaw. The longest such play in Principals this season, the connection resulted in 55 yards.
Carmichael threw for 360 yards and four touchdowns. He was 34-48 with zero interceptions.
Grant Iler made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Mustangs fell to Triway. The 6-foot-2 senior recorded one fumble.
Jake Davis was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 191 yards on one carries as Indian Valley lost to the Titans. Brandon Fox also contributed to the rushing game with 17 yards on the ground.
Perez was the best wideout in the league this week as Nathan Held's team lost to Triway. Perez tallied seven receptions for 143 yards. DJ Blair helped Tuslaw's passing attack out by catching five balls for 34 yards.
5-foot-10 quarterback Carmichael of Tony Lee's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1429. He has also thrown 15 touchdowns. On the ground, the Braves' Davis has rushed for 645 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Chad Robertson. The Manchester star has 32 catches for 543 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Titans take on Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. At the moment, Triway is in first, while the Royals are in third.
The Titans moved up to 232 from 289 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Triway climbed the ranks as a result of a 44-28 win over the Mustangs.
