While losing is never fun, MacArthur can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1057th, while Pearce is ranked 384th).
Kennedy Walters continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pearce, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Walters has scored at least a third of Pearce's points. Tatum Vroonland was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
MacArthur has been struggling recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season. As for Pearce, the win got them back to even at 12-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. MacArthur will take on Irving at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Irving is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Pearce, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Berkner at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
