White County relied on the efforts of Bella Winningham, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds, and Ashlyn Selby, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. Winningham is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ava Jones, who posted ten points.
White County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Tri-Cities Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Unicoi County on Monday, but they still walked away with a 47-43 victory.
Tri-Cities Christian's win came from a few key players White County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bella Bosken, who went 5 of 6 on her way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emery Haws, who put up 11 points and six assists.
White County pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.9 points per game. As for Tri-Cities Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: White County has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 31.7 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Tri-Cities Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 37.7 boards.
