The Gulf Shores Dolphins will be playing at home against the Eufaula Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Gulf Shores sitting on 13 straight wins and Eufaula on five.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Gulf Shores walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 35-14 victory on Friday. Considering Gulf Shores has won 11 matches by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Kolin Wilson and Ronnie Royal were among the main playmakers for Gulf Shores as the former rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.1 yards per carry and the latter rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Wilson hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for eight straight games.
Gulf Shores' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. In that department, Kingston Lowe was the leader with 4.5 sacks.
Meanwhile, Eufaula's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Demopolis 20-17.
Gulf Shores' victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.67 points. As for Eufaula, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
