The Smithtown Christian Knights entered their tilt with the Southold Settlers with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Smithtown Christian walked away with a 59-51 win over Southold on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Smithtown Christian also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
Smithtown Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lorenzo Crilly, who scored 21 points. Crilly is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nehemiah Yuen, who scored 16 points.
Smithtown Christian pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points per game. As for Southold, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Coincidentally, Smithtown Christian and Southold will both be playing Shelter Island the next time they take the court. Southold will head out to face Shelter Island at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while Smithtown Christian will host them at 6:15 p.m. on February 1st.
