Volleyball Recap: Roncalli Wins Going Away Against Mishicot

Roncalli lost to Mishicot back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Jets blew past the Indians 3-0. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Jets this season.

While Roncalli won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-23, 25-15.

Madison Keller paced Roncalli's offense, picking up ten kills. Keller got some help from Aubri Riesterer and her 12 assists. Erin Panosh controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the loss, Mishicot still got an impressive performance from Cooper Brouchoud, who had 17 digs and one assist.

Roncalli is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-14 record this season. As for Mishicot, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-22.

Coming up, Roncalli will host Gibraltar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jets are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Mishicot, they will head out to take on Southern Door at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
