Basketball Recap: Coastal Homeschool's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics, Coastal HomeSchool was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 44-32 win over the Faith Baptist Christian Academy Crusaders. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 56-45 back in December of 2024.

Coastal HomeSchool got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashlan Boggs out in front who went 7 of 11 en route to 16 points. The dominant performance gave Boggs a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Clemy Baladi, who posted four points along with 16 rebounds and seven assists.

Coastal HomeSchool was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Faith Baptist Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sophie Sellars, who earned six points in addition to seven boards and six assists. Madison Starr was another key player, putting up ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals.

The win snapped Coastal HomeSchool's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-13 record. As for Faith Baptist Christian Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-8.

Coastal HomeSchool wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 51-44 victory against Bible Baptist Christian on the 16th. As for Faith Baptist Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Crossroads Christian Academy on the 21st.
