Clayton Rosier was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
Meanwhile, Bluffton got the win against Southern Wells on Tuesday by a conclusive 12-2. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.
Griffin Morgan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chanley Shaw, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Trevor Smith was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Bluffton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southern Wells only managed one hit.
Bluffton is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Woodlan, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
