The DSST: Cedar Falcons lost against the Stargate School Eagles back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. DSST: Cedar fell 60-50 to Stargate School. DSST: Cedar has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
DSST: Cedar's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Simon Alexander, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Alexander continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ilyas Elmi, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Dylan Perkins was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds for Stargate School. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perkins has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Rusch, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
DSST: Cedar's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Stargate School, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
DSST: Cedar will head out on the road to challenge Windsor Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Windsor Charter Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 games. As for Stargate School, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Manual at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Manual is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
