Trinity Williams was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Kierstyn Fuller was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Leon lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Aucilla Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against North Florida Christian on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. Leon pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.7 runs over those games. As for Aucilla Christian, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
