The Pretty Prairie Bulldogs lost against the Goessel Bluebirds back in January of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Pretty Prairie fell to Goessel 56-51. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pretty Prairie in their matchups with Goessel: they've now lost three in a row.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was James White iii, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points White iii has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gage Bowers, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Pretty Prairie smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Pretty Prairie has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Goessel, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pretty Prairie will take on Central Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Central Christian Academy is ranked 301st, while Pretty Prairie is ranked 284th). As for Goessel, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Moundridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Moundridge is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
