Loveland is 0-10 against Milford since April of 2017 but things could change on Friday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
17 must be Loveland's lucky number: they beat Winton Woods with that score not once but twice on Wednesday. The Tigers blew past the Warriors 17-1. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Rylee Ripperger made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Ripperger was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Payton Brown was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Summer Rohlfs was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple.
Loveland hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Milford never let their opponents score on Wednesday. Everything went their way against West Clermont as they made off with an 11-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
Not much got past Meghan McClellan, who gave up just four hits and racked up 17 Ks to keep West Clermont off the board. McClellan has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jesslyn Roberts, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 3-for-4. Those home runs were her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Lanie McCoy, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one double.
Loveland pushed their record up to 9-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Milford, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
Both Loveland and Milford just can't seem to miss. The Tigers have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Milford struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Loveland suffered a grim 14-8 defeat to Milford in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Tigers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
