The Kopperl Eagles took a 48-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bluff Dale Bobcats on Thursday. This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Kaden Wentworth and Austin Saucedo. Wentworth rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries while Saucedo threw for 107 yards and four touchdowns on only eight passes. Bluff Dale is undefeated when Wentworth posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 2-4 otherwise. Keigen Halford did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 58 receiving yards.
Kopperl's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4. As for Bluff Dale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
