Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amir Morton, who went 8-for-15 on his way to 19 points and six rebounds. What's more, Morton also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aaron Jones, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South posted their biggest victory since January 14th on Monday. They put the hurt on Crossland with a sharp 53-33 win. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won three in a row.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North better focus on containing Jordan Exton and Lincoln Nelson as the pair were huge in Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South's win. Exton posted 15 points, while Nelson had 16 points. Nelson has become a key player for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 15 points, but 2-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Mayo, who scored six points and three steals.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points over those games. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-7.
