Covington has struggled against McCutcheon recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Covington's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Coye Ferguson, who scored 9 points along with 10 rebounds. Kolten Haymaker was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Covington's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for McCutcheon, their victory bumped their record up to 1-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covington will be home for the holidays to greet Lafayette Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Lafayette Central Catholic is ranked 66th, while Covington is ranked 81st). As for McCutcheon, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Harrison at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th. Harrison is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
