The Paint Branch Panthers can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. They blew past Walter Johnson 78-57. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Paint Branch has posted since December 11, 2023.
Paint Branch got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dennis Tamnou out in front who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Tamnou continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Lee, who scored 12 points along with five assists.
The win makes it two in a row for Paint Branch and bumps their season record up to 10-2. As for Walter Johnson, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-7.
Paint Branch won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Blair at 7:15 p.m. on January 23rd. Blair will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 221st, while Paint Branch is ranked 58th). Walter Johnson won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Einstein on January 23rd. Einstein is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
