Given Crow Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 87th in South Dakota, while Santee is ranked 246th in Nebraska), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Lakota Tech took their matchup at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 67-30 victory over Pine Ridge.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lakota Tech to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shania Ferguson, who scored 23 points along with eight assists and four steals. Ferguson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 16 games she's played. Isabella Shangreaux was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Crow Creek has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Lakota Tech, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.
