It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Lowell Red Devils ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top against Hobart by a score of 43-34. For Lowell, this counts as revenge for the 58-47 loss Hobart walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Among those leading the charge was Bre Kidd, who scored 15 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elysia Laub, who scored six points along with four blocks and two steals.
Lowell's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Hobart, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lowell will square off against Whiting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Whiting focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday. Hobart's road trip will continue as they head out to face Merrillville at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Merrillville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 190 points over their last three contests.
