Sumner Academy never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Wyandotte Bulldogs 15-0. The Sabres haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Keneth Rodriguez-Acosta made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Rodriguez-Acosta was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Arianna George, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2. Esperanza Eguade was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

The victory got Sumner Academy back to even at 2-2.

Sumner Academy and Wyandotte will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Sabres see the field they'll take on Shawnee Mission East at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Wyandotte, their break will end when they face Atchison at 4:00 p.m. on May 1.
