Hersey has gone 9-1 against Rolling Meadows recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Huskies will look to defend their home field against the Mustangs at 4:45 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Hersey turned things around against Conant on Wednesday. They never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 3-0 win.

J.D. Farkas

| 04/20/26 vs Palatine | 1 |
| 04/13/26 @ Barrington | 1 |
The result came thanks to J.D. Farkas's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Hersey is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-11 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Evan Steinbrunner was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jack Mau, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
The home team had come away the winner the last six times Rolling Meadows and Elk Grove had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Grenadiers with a sharp 12-5 victory on Wednesday. Considering the Mustangs have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Joe Brigham, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Hextall, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
Hersey's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Rolling Meadows, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
Everything went Hersey's way against Rolling Meadows in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Hersey made off with a 6-0 win. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
