The biggest upset of the week belonged to New Britain, who took down 92nd ranked Conard, 27-24.
Southington extended the longest winning streak in Central Connecticut I West this week by beating Glastonbury, 28-21. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Hall's dynamic duo of Zach Dobbins and LT Nembard proved tough for Simsbury to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dobbins threw for 167 yards and Nembard had 117 yards receiving. Andrew Monos helped Hall's passing attack out by catching one ball for 22 yards.
Christian Martinez was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 80 yards on 15 carries as the Trojans fell to the Trojans. Teammate Cormack Mulshine added to the ground attack by rushing for 65 yards.
Stephen Barmore provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Southington topped the Tomahawks. He completed 11 passes for 126 yards and also ran for 74 yards. Barmore's favorite target this week was Corbin Garry, who caught three passes for 94 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Barmore and Jarrid Grimmett Mike Drury's team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Barmore leads the league in passing with 921 yards, while Grimmett has rushed for 526 yards this season. Hall's Nembard leads the league in receiving yards with 469 on 30 catches.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Blue Knights take on Frank H. Robinson Iii's team. Southington is currently in first, while the Warriors are in third.
There should be lots of points scored when the Blue Knights and Hall face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Southington comes in having scored 229 this season, while the Warriors have scored 161. The Blue Knights scored 28 points last week as they bested Glastonbury.
Southington was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after topping Scott Daniels' team. The Blue Knights came in at 13 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
