Orange (Hillsborough, N.C.) kept up a steady attack all game long to defeat
Northern (Durham, N.C.), 42-15, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Michael Bolden in the second quarter, the Panthers was up 14-0 at the half.
Orange expanded its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. OHS scored two times in the third, including once on a
Garrett Cloer touchdown pass to
Patrick Pettiford.
Cloer was the top performer for the Hillsborough school. The junior quarterback threw three touchdowns.
Orange (2-0) goes up against Riverside in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Northern (0-2) locks horns with Wakefield also in a non-conference game.
