The Washington Union Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Exeter Monarchs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Washington Union will be strutting in after a win while Exeter will be coming in after a defeat.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Washington Union turned things around against Central Valley Christian on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Cavaliers.
Callie Flores made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Flores was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Zoe Freitas was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and two RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariana Garcia, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI.
Immanuel hit Exeter with a four-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Monarchs took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Monarchs haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
Chloe Sparrow spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and six unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, Maddie Avelar was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Exeter's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Washington Union, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-11.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Washington Union hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. However, it's not like Exeter struggles in that department as they've averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Washington Union couldn't quite get it done against Exeter when the teams last played back in May of 2025 as they fell 5-2. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
