If the Grand Oaks Grizzlies were feeling good off their 57-30 takedown of the Dobie Longhorns last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Grand Oaks fell to College Park 37-33. Grand Oaks was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as College Park apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
College Park's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Katie Westwood, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Natalia Ibizugbe was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Grand Oaks' defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for College Park, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Grand Oaks will take on Amarillo at TBD on Thursday. Amarillo has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 307 points over their last four matches. College Park will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Weiss at 9:00 a.m. on November 30th. Weiss is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
