The Y Yuma's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 48-6 loss at the hands of Limon. While losing is never fun, Y can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 120th, while Limon is ranked 20th).
Jonathan Thomson picked up 34 receiving yards and a touchdown. Damien Kosinski was his top target, gaining 79 total yards.
Jordan Rockwell was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 99 yards and two touchdowns on only six passes. Another player making a difference was Lohgan Bottjer, who gained 111 total yards and two touchdowns.
Y's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Limon, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Y does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Limon also has no future games currently scheduled.
