The Mission Oak Hawks had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Hanford 35-32. The win was just what Mission Oak needed coming off of a 22-0 loss in their prior contest.
Hanford's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Ryan Smith and Josiah Perez. Smith rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown, while Perez threw for 151 yards and three touchdowns. Braylen Thomas also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Mission Oak's win bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Hanford, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mission Oak will face off against Dinuba at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hanford, they will head out on the road to face off against Lemoore at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
