After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Valparaiso, Chesterton was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Washington Township Senators a 7-0 shutout. The Trojans not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 2nd (when they won 13-2).

The team relied heavily on Andrew Goveia, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since May 2nd. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Davis, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Chesterton's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Washington Township, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9-1.

Chesterton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Washington Township, they will take on Marquette Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Senators are facing the Blazers at the right time seeing as the Blazers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
