Kit Carson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keaton Marriott, who scored six points along with two steals. Marriott hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Irwin, who scored 13 points.
Kit Carson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Cheraw, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
Kit Carson won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Wolves at 12:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Idalia will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak. As for Cheraw, they and the Trojans will face off at 8:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The timing is sure in Las Animas' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Wolverines have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
