The Keefe Tech Broncos lost against the Blue Hills RVT Warriors back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Keefe Tech fell just short of Blue Hills RVT by a score of 55-53. While losing is never fun, Keefe Tech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while Blue Hills RVT is ranked 84th).
Keefe Tech's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eidan Toppa, who scored 17 points. It was the first time this season that Toppa scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was George Anastos, who scored 13 points.
Keefe Tech has not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Blue Hills RVT, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Keefe Tech will square off against Maynard at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blue Hills RVT, they will head out on the road to square off against Norton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
